"ARKONA" docks at LINDENAU Dock II



In June the Multi-Purpose-Vessel "ARKONA" which is based in Stralsund came to the shipyard after the yard was awarded the tender for the repair of the vessel "ARKONA".

Resulting from a tough winter with icebreaker service the vessel docked for general inspection and paint work. New sea chest grids have been provided as well as various alterations on deck, new towing equipment and change of one propeller. Once the repair work is completed, the vessel will go back into service for the WSA Stralsund.

The LINDENAU repair team was extremely proud and delighted to have the "ARKONA" as a guest in our floating dock II.

After completion of the work the LINDENAU repair team wishes the crew
of the "ARKONA" a safe journey and always a few inches of water under
the keel and hopes to welcome the "ARKONA" to the LINDENAU shipyard
in future again.
