City of Kiel awards LINDENAU with the environment prize
July 17, 2009 ![]() On Friday, the 17th of July 2009, the City of Kiel, represented by the Lord Mayor - Mr Torsten Albig and the mayor of the city - Mr. Peter Todeskino, as well as the technical head of the board for the Stadtwerke Kiel (public utility) - Mr. Arthur Bächle, awarded the prize for environmental protection. The first prize went to the LINDENAU shipyard for its protection of the resource „Water“, by building double hull tankers. The employees of the shipyard are grateful for this award and see this prize as recognition for the success they have achieved in building vessels that can safely transport environmentally hazardous substances on the water. The employees also see this prize as a challenge to continuously come up with creative ideas and innovations in the building of environmentally friendly tanker vessels. View the Certificate ... |
