Tugboat "KITZEBERG" at LINDENAU for repair works


The tugboat „KITZEBERG“ spent a week and a half at the LINDENAU shipyard to have maintenance work done. The tugboat has been to the LINDENAU shipyard many times before and this time was assigned the repair number R3791.

Various cleansing and conservation works were performed in the 1 ½ week stay at the yard. In addition, the LINDENAU shipyard assisted and supported other suppliers as well as the Germanischen Lloyd on work performed on the tugboat.

Furthermore the Schottel drive was inspected for cracks and all found cracks were repaired. The client had requested that the propeller be exchanged. The transmission belt on the Schottel system was renewed. The shaft, clutch and bearings were removed and a new strap was inserted.

The Kieler customer was fully satisfied with the work performed by the LINDENAU repair team.
